From the University of Southern California (USC)
December 2019 Graduated with a Master's Degree in Astronautical Engineering.
May 2018 Graduated with a B.S. in Astronautical Engineering (Magna Cum Laude, GPA > 3.7).

Notes on Undergrad
The capstone project of my Master's degree was the development of a HALO orbit simulation and the implementation of a station-keeping algorithm that performs comparably to recent station-keeping methods used in NASA missions. A detailed report can be found at ethan-geipel.com/halo

Notes on Undergrad
In my Junior year "Mechops" class, I designed, constructed, and executed an experiment that investigated the self-similarity of heated turbulent jet flow, and concluded that temperature profiles downstream from a turbulent jet are self-similar (see Projects).

In my Senior year, I excelled in USC's Senior Design Project Lab. My team created an active control solution to cantilever beam vibration through the use of piezoelectric actuation. We successfully dampened the vibrations of a carbon fiber cantilever beam via piezoelectric actuation. (See the paper, in Projects).
